Charles O'Rear
Charles (Chuck) O’Rear is widely acknowledged as one of the world’s leading photographers. Chuck photographed for National Geographic magazine for over 25 years, producing more than two dozen major articles ranging from computer chips to Indonesia to ultralights.

He began photographing winemaking in 1978 when National Geographic sent him to Napa Valley to produce an article. As a result of that project he made his home in Napa Valley where his interest in the wine country led him to begin photographing captivating images of the region. The interest in wine became global in 1995 when he spent a year following the wine harvest around the world, shooting photographs in all major wine producing regions.
